I don't think so.
There are women who have had their period for a month or two (or very rarely, all nine months) and go on to deliver healthy babies.
False positives are MUCH MUCH less common than false negatives early on. Plus, I think that you would KNOW you miscarried (cramps, a need for a D&C), even that early. EPT's measure a hormone that is present in pregnancy, and they require a certain amount of that hormone to register a positive.
If you get your period after a positive result, call your doctor, but it is most likely you're getting your period even while you're pregnant.

Relax. Many women experience bleeding in early pregnancy, or even the entire thing. Take a pregnancy test as soon as your period is late. The sooner you find out, the better for both of you. Also, remember that you may get a false negative reading if there isnt enough of the pregnancy hormone in you yet, but if you get a positive, you ARE pregnant, because the ONLY time your body makes that hormone is if you are indeed pregnant.

There is no such thing as an early positive. When a pregnant test says you are pregnant then you are pregnant (unless you have some kind of cancer which can throw your hormone off.. It is when they say your not when they can be wrong. Pregnancy test react to the presence of hCG, the pregnancy hormone.

Your best bet to make sure you are or not is to go to the doc. He can do a blood test just to be on the safe side.
Also if you miscarried you would know. There would be signs like:
•Vaginal bleeding
•Uterine bleeding
•Menstrual cramps
•Lower abdominal pain

You would then need to go to the doc to have a DNC done
BTW I didn't find out (in my 1st pregnancy) that i was even pregnant til I stopped having my period and found out i was 3 1/2 months.

You could be pregnant and still get your period or you could have a false positive which isn't as uncommon as most women think. You should go have a blood test done at your doctor's office. But they usually like you to wait until you've missed at least one period.

You need to consult with your Dr!
There could be many reasons, and you won't know until you schedule an appointment with your Dr and until he/she examines you. I've heard that many women have had periods while pregnant; some to include on this message board.
I'm not trying to be rude but why consult the advice of strangers who haven't went to medical school for advice of a medical questions we aren't able to provide? You're talking about your health and possibly the health of an unborn child. Please help me to understand why some of you do this?

It's possible that it was a miscarriage, but it's also possible to still be pregnant after bleeding early.

Wait till after your period, then re-run the preg. test - if it comes back positive then - you need to make an appt. with your Dr.
