The Cup will return to Canada when the Penguins move to Ontario. The Ontario Penguins (located in a new building in the Kitchener Waterloo area, capturing the Southern On market away from the Leafs) will defeat the Toronto Maple Leafs in the final in the 2010-2011 Stanlety Cup final .Marking the 1st time the Leafs have reached the final since 1967.Ironically the Cup returns to Ontario but not with Ottawa or the Leafs. The Leafs Stanley Cup futility continues.

you know it's kind of funny when asking this question because when you think about it the last 2 Stanley Cup champions were Tampa Bay in '04 and Carolina '06, two teams that had the most canadian born players on their roster that year each had won it...apparently not a coincidence and the last canadian team to win the cup (the 1993 Montreal Canadiens) had one european player participate in one playoff game (Oleg Petrov) but the rest of that playoff run was on the shoulders of a hungry canadian born hockey club along with a couple americans (as a matter of fact i recall 3 american born players for the Habs in '93)

no offense to any of the skilled europeans out there but sometimes its not all about the flash and the dazzle during playoffs...

i know alot of you think its always an american team winning the stanley cup but sometimes facts, figures and birth cerificates don't lie.

Yes. I absolutely believe that the Cup will come back to Canada. Montreal Canadiens will win the Cup this year and end the 13 year drought. GO HABS GO!.

Yes it will, but not to Montreal. I say Calgary. They're off to a slow start, but they'll come back. They're known for their strong second-halves. Calgary has the Cup winning team. Best goalie Kiprusoff, strongest group of D-men led by Phaneuf, explosive forwards with Iglina and Tanguay. What more can you as for?

It is pretty early in the season to be predicting anything but here`s hoping. I have always been a Habs fan even though all of my friends are Leafs fans. Buffalo and SanJose look good but it is way too earlier to predict anything.

Montreal is always winning the cup on my PSP!! Go HABs Go!!

Goaltenderforhire--it may be all Canadian players on the American teams but it's STILL an American team--the Candian players had to come to America to get a job! Go Sabres! The Cup stays in the USA!!!!!!!!

Most of the Canadian teams(not named the Oilers) have been decimated over the years due to their lack of retention of young talent. The Canadian teams will be competitive in a few years but not this season. As hard as it is to say this, the Sabres and the Sharks look wonderful this year and I think this might be our Finals matchup.

Vancouver sucks
Calgary is good
Toronto sucks
Edmonton not top tier tem
Montreal is alright
Ottawa is not a top tier team

Too many great teams out there. Could any of these teams touch Buffalo or San Jose in a best of 7? Not a chance.

A Canadian team might win this year, but probably not Montreal and I'm a Habs fan too.

!GO HABS GO!
