This is so stupid, but true. We went to visit my grandmother and there was a jewelry store going out of business so we went to see what they had. My boyfriend picked up this diamond engagement ring and said, "I'll buy this for you if you'll marry me." Right there in the store full of people. Everyone was congratulating us before I even said yes! How lame is that?

My husband proposed to me.
On Christmas day at my mothers house, he gave me my Christmas present. It was a beautiful jewelry box from Bombay that played my favorite song. Inside the jewelry box was a diamond engagement ring. When I opened the box and saw the ring, I looked up and he was on one knee in front of me, and in front of my whole family he asked me to marry him. When I said yes, he slipped the ring on my finger.
Since the whole thing happened at our "family" Christmas, I have the whole thing on video. It was so great.
My mom was crying like a baby.

My now husband kinda proposed to me. He just sorta handed me the box with the ring in it. It was really sweet though he did it in front of a lake near my hosue. I give him credit for not passing out considering he was so nervous!

Taking a break from studies and we were eating pie. He asked me which I liked better: cherry or apple. (We were sharing the two.) Before I could answer he said, "Will you marry me?"
Poor guy...I was so literal minded I laughed and said, "What has that got to do with pie?" He said, "Quite a bit, if you think about it."
This, and his expression, charmed me so much that I couldn't do anything but agree to marry him. ; )
We were married fifteen months later and have will celebrate our 30th anniversary next spring.

It wasn't like, anyone asking actually. We kind of agreed of it...I mentioned about it, then he said I'd like that and...there, we were engaged. We had no engagement ring either...and I didn't get any propose from my husband romantically. I kind of missed it, I think.
