If Troy Smith is available, he would be a better fit in Dallas than Quincy Carter was. Taking a corner first round would be a good look too. Maybe Damian Hughes (Cal) or Marcus McCaully (Fresno St.).

But if you ask me I think Jerry Jones and company will address the offensive line issues and draft a tackle. Doug Free (Northern ILL) or Levi Brown (Penn State) are probably who their going to take 1st RD.... and I wouldn't blame em' for it.

PS> I'm a Cowboy fan

They should draft offensive linemen like the Jets did this year. They got two starters in the first-round. Not very sexy to Jerry Jones but they have good skill position players and need better linemen and/or better line coach. They ought to go find a former lineman who can teach their guys how to block, like Russ Grimm of the Steelers.

The Jets are doing surprisingly well on offense because their line is relatively stable and blocking pretty good. (BTW, I'm not a Jets fan at all, but I thought they had the best first round out of everyone.)

Cowboys don't need a QB. Romo will be a decent starter for a while. They need line help on both sides of the ball.

Based on who is looked at and will likely be taken before they pick. I say Tyler Palko if he is there. Ok I'm a Pitt fan so I realize he will likely fall because people won't pay much attention to him. Oh and the Cowboys will need a QB that is decent at least. This is likely Bledsoe's last year and Romo would need a back-up.

I would think the best fit for them would be Brady Quinn from Notre Dame, he seems to be one of the best out there and is very mobile but it all depends on where he falls in the draft and what pick the Cowboys have after the seasons over...so it could be anyones guess!!!

personally i would take an offensive lineman in the first round. they need a right tackle big time. draft a qb or 2 in the later rounds. the trade deadline is this week. i say trade a draft pick for a qb or maybe pick up one in the offseason. they have no depth at the qb position whatsoever. im thinking give up a pick for david gerrard of jacksonville or culpepper. they are bigger mobile quarterbacks.

With all my football knowledge I think I agree with most of you that Romo needs a chance, and we need an offensive line to protect the QB. Heck even Bledso could do a decent job if he was protected.

seeing as the cowboys are 3-3 i highly doubt after all 16 games are over they will be less than 8-8... therefore in the bottom 15 of the draft.. unless they trade up they won't get quinn i guarantee it..

With Jerry Jones in control you know he's going to go with the big name QB from the big name school and go with Brady Quinn hoping he has a Tom Brady like career.

Boise State has an awesome Quarterback!
So Does Rutgers!

Either would be nice.
