I think it should be up to the kid. If she wants one then get her one. If she looks like she's feeling self conscious about her breasts, then offer to take her bra shopping. Make it a special occasion and keep it discrete. Otherwise, as long as her top is not too thin and there would be enough to cover her for all her activities, then she doesn't need a bra until her breasts get big enough to need support. Bras are torture devices for small breasted women!

2 reasons for a bra: 1. to support your mamarian mass. 2. to hide your nipples from view if you are modest. at your age, unless you are very early developer, you have no need for breast support, but if it is pressing your breast, then you need a larger cup size.. You may want to remeasure to get a better fit. Most 12 yr old breast are little more than swollen areola and tiny smooth nipples, but; with the hormonal, prepubessant changes you are experiencing , they should be very sensitive and your bra should be able to stay stable and not rub or stimulate the very sensitive nerves that are just becoming activated. The resultantant exitation is harmless, but distracting so that is what you want to avoid by getting a good fit.. but dont worry, it only gets worse

The first time they ask or if you notice they need one before they notice give em one for birthday or Christmas. I'm trying to think of how you would do this if you're a single dad-guess I would include some money in a card at each holiday enough for a bra so they can have regular chances to decide to get one while out shopping

The only difference between training bras, sports bras, and 'real' bras, are the kind of support they give for how they make your breasts look. Unless she wants cleavage and/or adult bras because they'd make her feel mature (and you're cool with that) theres not a big difference.

Whenever she wants. I don't think any woman with less than a C cup should bother with bras though. It's unnessesary!

It is wise that you let your breast develop first to an apple size then you start to wear it, in order not to decent it from growing.

Has nothing to do with age. Has everything to do with size.
