Go to the local Dept of Motor vehicles where the tests are given. they will have the most updated version.
The tests and requirements are not the same in each state but simular.

No the laws are NOT the same for every state, and the actual Department of Transportation for the state you live in won't get "shut down" at random.

Perhaps you should look into taking a Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) course instead. Their instruction is the same or better than most states require for your motorcycle endorsement, and most of the time all you have to do is take your graduation certificate to the DMV.

Go to the nearest license office in your county.
I've put a link here with the booklet in PDF format.
Good luck! Motorcycles are great. Ride safe.

you can get it at the DMV! Duh!

hahahahaha, seriously though, you might want to look into taking an MSF course. They give you clasrrom type lecture and instruction, the written test, and teach you on a bike and give you the riding test, and when you pass the course, the DMV considers it adequate training/testing and issues you your license. Also most insurance companies give you a discount if you've taken a safety course. If you're military personel, it's mandatory.

No...The laws are a bit different in every state when getting a license. The common sense riding laws are identical everyplace after that...Go to the place where you will get your license and they will have the book you need to read.
