Is Chicken of the Sea Chicken or Tuna. Is Tuna a real fish name like Crappie or Blue Gill. Okay i really dont get it though Jessica Simpson asked the same question but why do they call it chicken of the sea if it isnt chicken

Tuna is a category of several types of fish. Yes, it really is tuna fish, and calling it chicken of the sea was a marketing ploy.
"It tastes just like chicken" was a way to get people to try different foods. It just smells a little like canned fish.
