i mean before that they had conscription when he would have turned 18 he wasnt arrested until like 1954.

Never heard of him serving in the Army. He was arrested and served some prison time for assisting in the operation of his Father's illegal 'still'. Transported 'moonshine', but I don't think he was ever caught though. Certainly wouldn't call him 'an Ex-Con'.

No he was not in the military, but was arrested with a moonshine operation.
