i complained to administration that 8 to 10 machines are not hooked up for over a year and datime teacher was dumping his problem students in night times class well now daytime teacher may have me thrown out for complaining this is taxpayer money and now i'm being told i don't need to use those machines anyways...not sure what my rights are because state of michigan is funding my school. i've gotten all a"s on test ,elected class foreman ,help others , but am afraid my 2minutes of complaining might be brought against me ...help!

they can't throw you out of school for complaining - that's crazy! free speech, man. you have a right as a student to make sure that all the equipment that you or other students are using work properly to some degree. if they won't grant your wishes b/c it's taxpayers' money, then take your complaints to someone higher up to see if they can do something about your machines. i hope that answers your question.

Whistle-blower law will only cover you if you are working for the school & not a student

Anytime your civil rights are being impeded, the best bet is to call in the ACLU. They would probably take your case up for free. You can ask them on their website.
