You could discuss agreeing upon a certain, mutually convenient time to "check base" with each other. Maybe he could call you on his lunch break.

It's distracting at work because you are trying to be at work, not think about hom-- so that you can get something done. You know, like you're paid to do.

But you also don't really want to be at work! You sound happy to hear from them becuase you are because you would rather be with them than at work!

But. Your boss doesn't care either way.

1-2 calls max per day, but have something to say.
If he ever says "I'm a little busy/etc." Say "okay, just saying hello, talk with ya later or call me if you want". and LET IT GO. don't take it personal.
Let him call you so he gets to choose the time in the day when he has a minute, is not busy if your schedulle is more flexible.
If you don't call just be extra glad to see them when they get home.

You haven't been married very long have you? Don't worry all that will smooth itself out in time. You'll get into the comfortable routine of marriage. Just try cutting it back to one call a day, late morning or early afternoon. So he still knows what you're doing but doesn't feel that you're invaiding his space.

GIRL I hear ya on this one. My guy asked me so nicely to not call him at work because he's so busy, unless its an emergency. But sometimes I call him and he sounds happy to hear me and he's chatty. Go figure!!

Just call him every other day, once per day, like I do. That should do it.

He probably gets mad when you call because it looks unprofessional when his private life keeps interfering with his work. That is, his professional life is threatened.

He probably gets mad when you don't call because he wonders if your mad at him. That is, his personal life is threatened.

Find some gracious medium and let your husband off the hook.

You already asked this. Ask him flat out - look do you want me to call you or not. Maybe call him just once a day--two or more is kinda needy.

Stop calling him, let him call you. I don't call my hubby unless there is something specific I want to tell him, he calls me more than I call him. Good luck!
