D = 13
E = 14
A = 10
D = 13

DEAD = (13*16 + 14) * 256 + (10*16 + 13) = 57,005
DEAD + 1 = 57,006 base 10.

You can also use Google to convert 0xDEAD +1 to decimal... it matches with the back of the T-Shirt

I don't think so.

Hexadecimal is 0 through 15. Start with zero and go past 9 to A then through F.

The first place is whatever times 1.
Second place is the 16's place.
Third is 16 squared (256's place).
Fourth is 16 cubed (16 * 256)'s place.

Use windows calculator in the veiw>>scientific mode with "hex" option. Enter "DEAD" then click the button for decimal to convert.
