most pros use what is called a player's racquet which focus' mainly on control, but if you are going to buy a tennis racquet you dont have to drop $170 on a Federer racquet because you can go on ebay find his old racquet which is exactly identical its just that his new racquet is painted differently for promotional purposes. Anyways even if you were to buy a Federer racquet it is really difficult to use unless you are a 4.5 or 5.0 player. The racquet although seems small is one of the heaviest racquet there is out there and due to its small head size it gets alot of control but if you want ANY power once so ever you will have to generate it yourself with racquet head speed.

Some companies offer the convenience of tailoring a racket to a persons specifications, while others offer a racquet with a lot of power; and others simply enjoy the control of a steady racquet. The lighter the racquet, the easier it is for a player to swing faster. With a larger head, the "sweet spot" increases making spin, control and power easier to produce. Racquets vary from player to player according to the level of skill, spin on the ball, or how hard one hits it. Players planning to purchase a new racquet should test out different racquets for one that feels good/natural to hit the ball. Feeling a good racquet means letting the racquet become your arm. Does the racquet produce too much vibration? Does the racquet have enough control or power? Would a larger head on the racquet would increase the “sweet-spot” (the cleanest or ideal spot to hit the ball) and the players game? A lot of players like having a larger head for this reason alone: the larger the "center of percussion"

Wilson's still have the most top 100 players using their products. As far as breaking down which is the most popular of all of them I am not sure.
