Should all men get vasectomys between the ages of 15to18.

With the option of getting 2 free vasectomy reversals and another free vasectomy.

Beleive it or not i posted this question more from a mens rights perspective than a feminazi or nazi one .

Maybe the technology isnt here for reversals that work .

I have seen many young mens live ruined.
I see men pointing the finger at woman

I see woman pointing at men

Lets not forget that men have all the responsiblties but none of the rights after a woman is pregnent .

I should have advocated condome use earlier with non mongamous couples. For that i am sorry .

I think your vasectomy idea is stupid. Sure it would eliminate teenage pregancy, BUT WHAT ABOUT STD'S?! Don't you think a life threatening disease is worse than a baby?

A man can get a vasectomy anytime after 18 years old. Depending on where you are, some doctors will refuse to do it until you have 2+ kids or are 25 years or older. If you see a few doctors though, I'm sure you will find one that will just want the money though. I was 21 when I had my tubes tied, but I also had two children. If you are very sure about your decision to get a vasectomy and you have trouble finding a doctor that will perform one, ask the doctor what you could do to change their minds. Some will allow you to get one after a psych evaluation (to make sure its in your best interest). If all else fails, go to your county health department and complain. Your an adult and you should be allowed to make your OWN medical decisions.

How exactly would you fund this Nazi-like project?

No, how on earth did you come up with such a preposterous idea? It is the worst idea I've heard today. Why would you want to do such a thing? Teen pregnancy is an issue, and it has been since Puritan times, but to subject boys to such a surgery is crazy. That surgery has been perfected so that it cannot get reversed in most cases because when it is done so that it can be reversed, it doesn't always work.

Would you ever suggest that girls between 15 to 18 get their tubes tied? No, you wouldn't because you are a feminazi hell-bent on your crazy agenda that women are inferior and need to rise against. Well look around, women can do anything they want if they'll work for it. I'm a woman and although I'm not CEO of some major company fighting that glass ceiling, I choose my own destiny every day and I work my butt off to get ahead. Guess what, I'm happy about it too. I don't want things to be handed to me just because I have ovaries. I don't have to suggest that we do HORRIBLE things to males just to make myself feel better about having a killer rack and a vagina.

well really that's like saying that men cant be trusted to not get women pregnant, while vasectomes and arent always reversable. It also implies that reproduction is less important mens identity than womens, and thus impies that women should take responsibility for kids as is dictated by nature, whats wrong with the pill? ppl should use birth control wisely if they dont then they have to live with the consequences.

Odd question. Why would anybody consider this issue in the first place? If you are talking about teenage sex, then the answer is NO. An open an honest conversation without shame or judgment would go much further than forcing this procedure. It also doesn't consider STDs.

The success rate for reversals is not very high. A program like this would cause a catastrophic drop in the population. Unless we reproduce by artificial insemination from now on.

Well considering that more and more males are becoming infertile and that alone is causing companys to look into cloning and never mind the thousand of people who go through IVF treatment may be the best thing is to keep our knickers on or if you wanna play USE A CONDOM!!!!

Well, it would certainly take care of the overpopulation issue since vasectomy reversals aren't always successful. I personally wouldn't put my son under the knife simply to allow him to be irresponsible. I fully intend to scare the crap out of him about pregnancy and STD's with full color medical journal photographs of things like Herpes blisters. Worked for my brother and I, and my husband.

Well, we're going to need to do something to stop the overpopulation. But that's not going to hold. There would be a major uprising of young males.
Why did you come up with this question>?

I feel badly for these girls who end up with the total responsibility for a teen pregnancy. I talked to a girl's Mom today, and the boy has already got another girl pregnant. We could call it The Tomcat Project!
