Foreigners, mostly men, go there for the pretty ladies. The food sucks, is the worst in all of Asia, but prices are cheap and the women are available, so it doesn't matter about the food. The country really is very nice for a 3rd world country, but the government doesn't do much of a job of attracting tourists.
I been there 3 times. I feel comfortable and would like to retire there. I just don't want to have anything to do with doing business and dealing with the government.
I worry about over-population and I feel the Catholic Church should do more to tell people to practice birth control. Now 82,000,000. By 2030 its supposed to be 160,000,000. Too many people to live in such a small country!
Filipino men are so feminine! They let the women run the households and the country, and its hard to engage in a conversation with the men. The women are really cute and lots of fun!
Watch out or the Koreans will buy up all the country.

i like that place.
The people are very nice, they are not hell bent on destruction and are very hard working. I don't mind the food because if you grow up getting accustomed to the food there, it becomes natural.
I just feel like the philippines could have gotten so much more. The government is a joke but the people are really kind. the corruption and so on is bad but i don't care. the people are really nice. It's a pitty that they end up getting hurt by taking the blame. Filipinos should not be take a bullet for what others have done. they are toooo kind in a sense
as for the society living there,
from experience, it is hard to decipher if a girl is realllyy a girl... ever heard of "something about mariyam"... the super model who is a guy... it's just really hard now to decipher if it is a girl.
I love the food! everytime i return for vacation, i gain so much weight... i blame it all on the suger treats they have there. ahahahaha
i love that place a lot. It's not like the US but i'm happy it's not an exact carbon copy of the US. The people here still have their traditions. They know what it means to live in families and not be destroyed by million dollar cars.
