According to Wikipeida, the 2000 Baltimore Ravens "...recorded 4 shutouts, 1 shy of the single season record".
The 1976 Steelers started the season at 1-4...then they won 9 straight, including five shutouts... this is the record for the modern NFL.
Their victims were:
*week 7 at New York Giants | 27- 0 |
*week 8 San Diego Chargers | 23- 0 |
*week 9 at Kansas City Chiefs | 45- 0 |
week 10 Miami Dolphins | 14- 3 |
week 11 Houston Oilers | 32-16 |
week 12 at Cincinnati Bengals | 7- 3 |
*week 13 Tampa Bay Buccaneers | 42- 0 |
*week 14 at Houston Oilers | 21- 0 |
The Ravens had a 16 game season in 2004, the Steelers had a 14 game season in 1976.
The overrated '85 Bears had only two shutouts, in game 11 against Dallas, and game 12 against Atlanta.
