I'd buy some specially things to that couple such as a post card which with chinese traditional characteristic. But this card is not like a normal card.Because it just can buy from some restructed region and it is valued. It would never buy from the internet and shop.I suspose it is more special than many things

I sent my parents for a week end away with tickets to a live play at a dinner theater. They loved it so much that I gave it to them for Christmas several times (different theaters). Last weekend they stopped by after spending the weekend that they bought for themselves to a theater and one night in a hotel.

Nice that you want to give a gift that is appreciated. I am sure you will think of something good.

How about a cruise. They can be had in that price range and it is something some couples won't do on their own. Our kids gave us our dream trip to Alaska both cruise and land for our retirement. It was everything we dreamed and more

Whatever you decide, a book of beautiful poetry,or
a heartfelt poem of your own will make the gift special.
Presentation is important,
so gift wrap in their favorite 'color & theme'

PS- I would definately appreciate such a keepsake

Take them to dinner and discuss your plans with them. Talk to them about what you would like to do for them. Or ask them what they want to do to celebrate their anniversary. You could even give them the 2K and let them decide how they would like to spend it.

Those ideas are great ones, actually. Make it something personal - you seem to know their interests, so you're definitely on the right track.
