The Executive Branch is the biggest because all departments such as Finance, local governments such as cities and administrative bodies such as Commissions are under its direct supervision.

The executive branch is the largest. This is because the president's function is to enforce the laws of the Constitution of the United States. To do this he utilizes the several departments headed by the several secretaries in his cabinet. Remember that the president is "Commander in Chief." This means he is the direct supervisor (so to speak) of all the military generals and admirals. The entire military is thus under the authority of the president. Other departments are also quite large.

Because of the admininistrative agencies, all under the Executive Branch and its cabinet, it's the Executive Branch.
The administrative agencies are known as the unelected fourth branch of the government. HTH.

the legislative branch has the most people if that's what you mean by biggest.
If you mean power, no branch has more power, our gov is set up so that each branch can check eachother. Has to do with checks and balances. If one branch disagrees with another in a amendment for example, they can stop it.

90% of all government employees are directly attached to the administrative branch!

Elected is the House!
If he meant elected it sure isn't the Judicial as they are not elected, they are appointed!
Or do you mean dept, like Health and Human Services?

Technically, the judicial - think of all those judges in circuit and appellate courts that are part of the fed govn't.
