Yes! i have definately put it off because I am DEATHLY AFRAID of the doctor, and needles, and being poked and probed, and of stretch marks, and the pain of delivery! I would consider an epi-dural....but that needle is insane! Its a scary thought....but I would LOVE to have children!

I have always had a fear of childbirth but that did/will not stop me from having kids. I have a 2 year old boy now and I want another shortly but still have that fear and will still go through it 10 times again just to experience the joy once that bundle of joy is born!

That's a normal fear. If you want children badly enough it's not a factor though. I think it is mostly a factor if you really don't feel the need for children. There' s nothing wrong with you if that's the case.

Absolutely!!! Not the only reason I'm not to into having any kids, but a big one. Not only an aversion to childbirth but also pregnancy too!

I had a really difficult pregnancy and birth...I would do it again in a heartbeat. Having a child is the most rewarding gift I could ever ask for. Was I scared? Hell yes! Will I be scared next time? You better believe it! Is it worth it? A hundred times over :)

One day compared to a lifetime of happiness. Sure, there are all kinds of horror stories- but those are out there because they were so extreme. Go to birthstories.com and read all the normal- non-eventful births. Even if something hard does happen- a new life is worth it!
