Your public library has a book called "The Charlton book of Hockey cards" and it is a fat thick book containing everything about all hockey cards back to the early 1900's. As far as other sports The Beckett pricing guide has a general pricing for a few other various sports such as NFL, NBA, MLB, etc... Both the Charlton (Annual edition) and the Beckett (Monthly edition) has quanties listed for more limited/valuable cards, example serial numbered cards with printed cards made of only 50, 100, 250, 500, 1000, etc... and both books shows approximated current value.
I hope this helps and if you even need more of an answer to your question, please email me at saskatchewan2005@hotmail.com and I will dig even further to assist you.
From Mike...
PS Websites tend not to offer values of cards but these 2 books will and I certainly will...
Hope this is a good answer.
