Everything you learn in school will serve you later in life. We are not the first people ever to live on this earth. It is tremendously important to learn about the past.
Also, homework might teach you to write coherently.
Really, proper use of language is important. Try writing a cover letter to your resume along the lines of what you've written here and see how quickly you get turned down.
Also, don't preface statements with "yo." Even if you say "yo," it doesn't translate well to the page.

To understand the present you need to understand the past. to guess at the future you have to understand the past and the present.
If you don't know this then you need to go back to first grade and start again. yo feelin me?

The purpose of homework is to reinforce understanding of concepts presented in class. It is the nature of the human brain to forget things unless there is reinforcement. Regrettable, but true.

to consolidate information that cannot be absorbed all in one go in one lesson. Your brain needs to time to process information and digest it, by using that new knowledge in the practical aspect of homework, it allows you to put that new info to use and increases your understanding. Plus it allows you to see something of what will be expected of you in the future, teaches about responsibility towards your own work, time management and self-discipline.
