I want to be open about this feeling, but I'm afraid to scare her away. I guess I'm hoping she would participate.

If all you did was imagine, then I wouldn't tell her, since what happens in your mind during sex is very private and doesn't have to be divulged.

However, since you want to have her participate and take it to another level, to so speak, I'd tell her. You know her better than I do, but when or if you tell her, try to stress that you still love her and are sexually attracted to her, that you don't want to change your sex, but just try this in the bedroom, and that she doesn't have to if she doesn't want to, but you just want to let her in on this. Hopefully all that is true. If it isn't, then you have a lot more to talk about than only letting out the little secret.

I hope she's cool with it. There's nothing more fun than playing with gender roles in the bedroom.

So why not just tell her you want to try a bit of new stuff, or you could just be straight honest and tell her you dream about having sex with her and let her know in your dream, you are looking in the mirror somewhere, and your dressed up in something that you cant tell what it is,, that sort of leaves it open for her imagineation, otherwise you could always just tell her you are a crossdresser, BUT on the other hand,, if you love her and trust her,, you should be able to talk about whatever

Well, it really depends on your feelings. There is a great amount of gender phobia out there... meaning, if someone deviates outside of their cultural gender norms there can often be heartless reprocussions social pressure while people try to police your gender performance and identity, (much like a few posters in this thread who don't seem to know much about human identity..)

Maybe consider to what extent your feelings go with this. Are you just interested in role playing? the dynamics of it perhaps?

Are you questioning your gender or nongender identity?

maybe think about those things and check the communication level you have with your partner. You are both welcome to visit Gender Schmender, an online gender education community. We currently have 178 members, and we are always eager to welcome more.

Good luck!

PS, there is nothing wrong with you, or your desires.
