i became disillusioned that they did away with Lay Away too. Now the sole place to flow could be ok Mart. Being that money is tight in our companion and youngsters, we had to do somewhat our Christmas finding out to purchase at ok Mart, on account that i do no longer choose for to get a Wal-mart card and pay the interest.

Yes they are and you can only put things on layaway up until November 17th(so when black Friday comes(day after thanksgiving) nobody will be able to use the layaway for their merchandise) They said that they are not making money on layaway and that people have gone on to alternatives for example gift cards, credit cards etc. I wouldn't even bother calling them it will not help. There will not be enough people to even worry about this issue. Shop else where if you have to there are more places to shop other than wal-mart.

the reason why is because some customers never seem to get there lay-away out they let it stay in till it go out on clearance and when it comes back on the floor walmart lose money.
i never did lay-away i aways paid cash. One day i saw 2 young girls in the line with 4 baskets of things for their apartment i don't think they got there layaway out they might be the reason for this mess. thats way i never get use to things like that because one person with alot of things like that will mess it up.

I also heard they got rid of paying their employees well and affordable Health care... I haven't "used" layaway in over 6 years now.. They won't keep it..

I think it's way past time they did away with it. It is inefficient, takes up store space and employees. Focus on low prices, if you cant afford it, then save until you can.
