I have a DELL INSPIRON 8100 laptop
and the screen went pink then completly black..

I connected it to my desk top and was able to use it, so I know the harddrive is still good.
no warranty on it

any suggestions for repair..unfortunately Dells customer service is in India, and I am not fluent in Punjabi.

I have a gateway laptop and once in a while my screen tends to bounce about...you have a bad connection to the mother board most likely. but if your able to get something from it by hooking it up to the desktop and able to get something from it...then you will need to get a new part for it and I have been told that they are hard to take care of and most likely will cost alot. Call Dell's 1800 number you dont have to call over seas for help on it. If push comes to shove take it to a repair shop in your town. Are you in the USA or over seas?
