Private research is legal, available, on-going, and more than happy to take Shake's fortune as a donation to fund further research. If he and his liberal friends case so much about his cause, they can each pony up their fortune and come up with way more money than the federal gov't would ever grant.

Come on Michael Shake Fox, you are worth north of $50 million. Empty your bank account bucko before you start begging for tax dollars. And making political commercials with your a$ss shaking on a block of ice convinced no one.

Michael J Fox is such a nice guy. Even if it were true, he had 50 million, he has medical bills, he can not make a lot more money unless he is good in stocks or trusts his broker. Michael has to live on the money he has, pay medical, and this will be for the rest of his life. 50 million goodbye!
The US needs stem cell research and it is not all about killing babies. Lots of stem cells are in the umbilical cord which is of no use after the baby is born.
The drug manufacturers do not want cures for anything. I believe their is a cure for diabetes and other things but no one will tell us. I think AIDS was created in a lab, and the cure has not been released.
More than flying out to space every year, we need drug research for cures. More than building a super highway from Mexico to Canada-we need cures. More than putting up a partial fence between Canada and Mexico--which will put a lot of our truck drivers out of work-----we need cures.

Why aren't you so condemning when others want money for research! After all, Bush does give Tax money to some stem cell research!

And why do you think that Fox and Reeves want stem cell research? Could it be that we might just regenerate brain and nerve tissue and cura a lot of diseases!

I guess you would rather see the living die a slow and agonizing death! I hope you do as well as they did or will!!

Bush can pony up 3/4 of a TRILLION dollars for a war based on lies which has killed over 3,000 troops and thousands of Iraqi's! What is wrong with doing something that might save someone?

You must be a Rush (The Junkie) Limbaugh fan!!

In one state he is campaigning for a cloning bill not for stem cell research - he needs to learn to read beyond the title. In the
other state he is campaigning against a Governor that just sign a bill for 35 million in research. Neither of these states are trying to get rid of a law that allows stem cell research, that is not what the bill are about & the other state does not even have a bill up for vote. It should stay private research as there are other ways to get stem cell & they know it.

Fox's acting was obvious, on Boston Legal you couldn't tell he was sick & on Oprah it was barely noticable ( Oprahs is a live audience so he did not retape that scene). I have several friends with Parkinson Diease & none act like that, not even those who have had it for years. Hollywood thinks their opinion is more important than anyone elses. This is not a political issue, but will become one with these types of ads.

Stem cell research could help thousands of people with a whole range of diseases even some of the people who are against it now.
I hope that you and your loved ones never need it but spare a thought for those that do.

Wow, I hope you never get a disease like Parkinson's. I am sure, although I have no proof that he has contributed to research causes. Do you think he wants to be like that without doing something to help himself as well as others? Do you think he should have to fund the entire effort himself? I didn't think he was asking for money, just for the right to continue research.

This question is sick. To answer that, maybe one should ask someone who has this disease or better a doctor. It is not right to put a shake in there. Michael J Fox is a good guy. It looks stupid to kick a man while he is down. It is unethical!!!

One day you might be struck by some awful disease. My cousin has MS and my friend's nephew has MD. I don't agree with Michael J Fox for exploiting the issue but I believe that you should not refer to him that way. That is gross.

Because he has a political agenda. He is anti Republican. He flat out lied that Talent wants to make stem cell research illegal. Not only that, but there are different kinds of stem cells. Embryonic ones have no promise of anything.

BTW, he is also addressing Prop2, which in a very sneaky way is trying to make cloning a Constitutional Right.
