DEMOCRACY IS WORTH FIGHTING FOR IN ANY COUNTRY. You really think the people of Iraq would rather live under the thumb of a murderous dictator then a free republic? People in this country once said "slaves would not know what to do with freedom" and those same people said democracy would not work in Russia. So tell me are the early American slaves and the Russians better off now or not?

Not when the people there don't really want a democracy. It's not like they asked for it!
I would like to hear more from the people of Iraq to answer this one deeper.

It may be worth fighting for, but I don't think that we should be the ones doing the fighting. Why can't they fight their own battles? We have been there too long. I think it was a mistake to be there at all. These people have an entirely different culture from ours and this war is not going to stop terrorism.

It the Iraqi's asked us to help them fight for democracy, then the answer is maybe.
The lives of young Americans is a pretty stiff price to pay for democracy elsewhere.

For the Iraqis, if they want democracy, then yes, they should fight for it. But no, I don't feel it's worth the sacrifice of our servicemen & women's lives.

noooo ... we could end the fighting in a couple of weeks if we wanted to ... think about it ... theyre obviously letting them kill each other off and even promoting that to keep them from uniting against our troops .... its basic counter-insurgency ops 101 .... whenever an army invades another country there inevitably rises up in the population a resistance ... any military plan takes this into consideration and implements its counter insurgency strategy ... pick out the differences in the population ... religeous, ethnic, ect .. and use psy-ops through their media which you control to turn them on each other ... also use paid militants or cia operatives to stage attacks and blame it on one group or another to get them killing each other .... or maybe you thought what you heard on the news was the facts?

Not really. If the Iraqis desire democrasy, let them fight for it, if not, there should be no reason why the blood of foreigners must die to give them something, I the least, could care less that they possess.
