you can not find sulphur element as gas
So, S and S8 are not in the gas phase, they are solid
However, you can find compounds that have sulphur in gas phase.
Such as, H2S and SO2.

I have not been able to find anything about sulfur as a gas. When heated in air SO2 (sulfur dioxide, a poisonous gas) is formed. Sulfur is fairly reactive (it is a chalcogen, meaning it 'gives rise to ores'), so most likely it exists as S2 in its gaseous state. Many gases exist only as their monoatomic (if that's the right word) state at normal temperatures, such as neon and the other "Noble Gases", and helium.
