We all know the police use intimidation as a form control. I recently pondered this after getting pulled over for some bogus 'taillight' problem. I wondered, what if you were to follow them after they pulled you over, or if at all. And send some intimadation their way?

Is it illegal to follow police around?

Excellent Question. But I would not recommend it. I reported my plate stolen and I had to drive somewhere, so I put a cardboard plate on my car, with my license # on it, and a cop pulled me over, and told me I was lucky I was looking down the barrel of his gun, can you believe this. I had my two young kids in the car at the time. After that, I'm sure they tagged my plate, and I got pulled over all the time. You don't need this hazzle, believe me. I have a perfect driving record, have a race car, and all has been cool for many years. You don't want them tagging your plate. I'd just let it go, and put my energy in a more useful endevor. Life isn't always fair. But I try to put my energy where it will do some good for me and others. You know what I mean?

I have been following cops for about 5 months now. Certain cops in particular, guys with bad rap sheets and who are pending suspensions. I just want to get these crooked *** cops caught. I'm a black man who is fed up with the justice system so I'm taking action. I have served many years in the military so keeping a low profile is something I was trained and excel at. I would never do anything to harm the cops, but I have followed a couple of the guys home.(wasn't my intent they went home while on duty) I understand not all cops are bad, but that also applies for any race that is being discriminated or stereotyped on. I look at it like this, if your the type to stereotype or discriminate then I'm going to do the same. So that's means all cops are murders and crooked, and if your a white man and u do the same then I'm going to say you're all pedophiles. I started this because of the war in the U.S between cops and unarmed. Plus a judge told me "y would I believe u over my officer. "

I don't know. When I was a bored teenager, I used to get followed by police simply because I rode a motorcycle. When I was extra bored, and had extra gas, I'd return the favor by finding one and following him all over town until he'd get exasperated and pull me over to ask what the hell I was doing. I never got a ticket, but then again, I didn't do it in RETALIATION for anything. Tread cautiously.

Following the police is technically not illegal but intimidating them is considered a crime under the Penal Law because it is against a person of authority.

WOW what a novel ideal. Just follow them around and if they need to respond to another call and you hinder them in any way. I do mean any way. Your butt is theirs. Oh yea , they will pass on the information to their buddies and you would be surprised how many laws you could break in a short time. I would let it go and find a way to show them thanks for all that they have to go through just to save your world from falling apart. When you need one, just call and they will help you. I am not a cop but I have seen what trash they have to work with. So get over it.

The police have the "authority" to give you so much trouble, if they take a disliking to you, that you would be wise to just let your upset go... It may not be technically illegal, but I'd had one pissed off officer to know my license plate number... Cops have friends, who they might share their upset with..

I'd probably find an excuse to slam on the brakes, and let you drive by like an idiot. And if you stopped too....I'd make your life unpleasant. You could be a terrorist, or just an idiot. But I am no cop.
