you can use an equation to solve this problem:
x= the smallest number
x+x+29=77 (x equals your number then your adding the difference and then that has to equal 77)
2x+29=77
2x+29-29=77-29
2x=48
2x/2=48/2
x=24
So... 24 is your first number...then you have to add your difference of 29 to get your second number.
24+29=53
Your answer is 24 and 53

48 and 29. The difference between them is 29 (i am diong this in my head so i could be wrong) and the sum is 77....
