destruction of embrios, and worse, wanting to force most of us to pony up tax dollars to do something we find repugnant, immoral, and disgusting? Have liberals no shame?

Michael j Fox is a good guy, so was Mr. Reeves. Oh, a lady , Mrs Nancy Reagan-a republican was also for stem cell research.....It does not mean these people r for abortions.

The embrios Mr. Fox is talking about are thrown away in most cases anyway. I find it quite disgusting that anyone would call a chronic ill person a beggar. Just because they want to be cured. I also find it disgusting that you consertives think I should be governed according to your morals. Well I think we should be goverened by our Constitution. If you want to have your goverment based on relegion, then go to a muslim country, live there. I am a christian with strong faith and values. But our fore fathers new what they were talking about. Seperation of Church and State.

Embryonic stem cell research is ALREADY legal in Missouri and Maryland (where the MJF ads are running) and many other states, as well. The FINE PRINT is to LEGALIZE CLONING. This is very scary to me. People don't always have the "good of the whole" as their first interest.

As a nurse, I have seen how terrible Parkinson's and other neurologist diseases can be. But, it's the cloning part of the bill that scares the he^^ out of me.

BTW, MJF quits taking his Parkinson's meds before senate hearings and making these commercials.

Of course liberals have no shame, and feel they own the moral high ground at the same time.
Let me point out a freaky realistic scenario about embryonic stem cell research. Firstly, there is no proof it is as good as they think it is, and maybe it will be as good as they say it is, nobody knows.
But the scary thing is this. What kind of an evil wacked out society would we live in if women impregnated themselves, aborted the babies and then sold the babies, or fetuses (libs prefer the sugar coated term, to numb their guilt) to companies that did embryonic stem cell research!!!
That will happen to a degree. That is some Josef Mengele twisted stuff, and it will happen. Are you cool with that people?

You are gross. Over 70% of people support embryonic stem cell research so long as they use the embryos that were created for invitro but were not used due to surplus. Most people do not favor actually creating embryos for the research, just using the ones that already exist and that would otherwise be thrown away/destroyed/discarded whichever term you prefer.

Watching an uncle ROT from Parkinsons, and knowing that Michael J. Fox is fighting to prevent that from happening to other people in the future, means that he is doing the right thing.

And we are not talking about killing embryos, you schmuck. We are talking about embryos that never will be babies.

I find, selfish, self-righteous, bigots more immoral than people that are fighting for the freakin' right to live.

Please, If you are going to make accusations make sure you get all your facts right first. Are you referring to stem cell research?

Why are you blasting "Liberals" about it anyway? Who are the liberals that your so angry with? If stem cell research could save you child from certain death would you be so angry and judgmental about it? And how dare you make fun of a man who has spent the last few years raising much needed money and attention to a terrible disease...even if you don't agree you owe the man respect. When was the last time you tried to help someone less fortunate than yourself or raise money for anything? Judge not....least ye be judged....isn't that in the bible?

it's embryo, you ignoramus, and thousands are routinely destroyed each year at fertility clinics.

I find the Iraq war repugnant, immoral, and disgusting, and my tax dollars are being spent there, against my will.
so what's the difference?

Why don't you think for yourself instead of just stealing Rush's "thoughts"? I suppose you think that protecting a couple cells that would NEVER be born anyway is more important than saving people who are already alive.

If there was any real evidence that stem cell research could cure all these diseases then corporate America would have already funded them. Its up to the private business sector to do the research not the American taxpayer.
