A sock and a shoe or both socks 1st then the shoes?

Indeed, I put my shoes and socks on. But they're invariably odd socks because the sock monster gobbled up every other sock to make sure I would never again have a matching pair.... woe is me....

Usually both socks first but if my foot is cold I put the shoe on right away if it's right next to me.
