I am so confused! I know that I am pregnant, but if we go by my LMP which was sept. 21 that makes me 5 weeks along tomorrow. I asked a question a few days ago about showing early, none of my clothes fit, i had to go to an orientation for a new job today with my pants unbuttoned and a long shirt over them as I couldn't fit into them and I have no maternity clothes yet. This is my 4th pregnancy so i could conceivably be showing early.
Heres the kicker(no pun intended), i swear to god I feel that baby moving, like the early early movements that start around 4 months usually. I have some gas movement in there as well, the two sensations are totally different.
My period on the 21st of Sept. was odd and I was showing all pregnancy signs then to, do you think I could be farther along? I have a doctors appt. for the 21st. of this month and am going to try and move it up to sometime next week. Just looking for some friendly opinions, thanks much!

Although it is said that pregnacies following your first woman usually start to show sooner and can feel the baby moving faster than first time mothers, five weeks def seems a lil early to be showing and feeling the baby move. Maybe you are indeed further along. I am five months along with my first baby and I swore i was further along because I felt like i was showing really soon as well... probably like at 7 weeks and I started to feel the baby move sooner than expected as well ( around 12 weeks) but when i had my ultrasound the doc said i was right where he thought i was, so who knows. Seeing as this is your fourth you def know what to expect and you know your body more than anyone I would def try and get in to the docs sooner and maybe they can do an ultra sound for dating purposes. Also if you were really skinny you can start to show sooner too and even feel more movement sooner than a heavier person would. All pregnacies are different, but best of luck and congrats on the baby :) And hopefully you are further along, make things speed up a little faster!

Sure. YOu could have had implantation bleeding then, instead of a period, which would make you a month farther along that you think. I had that with 2 of my pregnancies. Seems too early to feel the baby move still, but that can be why you showing already. Im pregnant with my 4th baby too and Im 18 weeks along. I just started feeling the baby around 3 weeks ago. I swore I felt the baby early too, but now I defiinitley know Im feeling the baby. I started to show around 2 1/2 to 3 months. At least that is when my jeans started to get tight on me and I had to wear my jogging pants for a little while. Good luck

I would guess you are farther along. See if you can get an ultrasound at your next appointment to verify the age of the fetus.
Another possibility is twins, but it wouldn't explain feeling the baby moving.

You are obviously farther along. Many women will bleed while they are pregnant, so you probably weren't having a real period on Sept 21st.

They will be able to tell you when you get your ultrasound. Tell them about all your symptoms and who knows, some women have probably had strange periods and found out they were pregnant! I've heard of women not even knowing they were pregnant and then giving birth???? How in the world????

You must be further along than what you think, a baby at 5 weeks is really tiny, I'm 20 weeks and have'nt felt mine yet.

maybe you should ask for an ultrasound. It is possible to have periods and be pregnant. I had periods 5 months into one of my pregnancys.
No way to know for sure till you see the little bean!

Further along than anyone thought? Other? I dunno. That's about all I got for you. You just seem like you are super aware that you are pregnant, so you are feeling things mentally rather than physically. Since this is your 4th, you know what to feel and expect and your mind is playing games with your body, obviously. Try and relax, like I am... I'm trying. That's about all we can do, hun.
