My husbands ex wife is using my husbands criminal history from almost 20 years ago against him. They share other children together and everytime he goes to court for visitation she uses his past history. So he does't get to see his other children. Child Protective Services is very familiar with her, because she always calls them and makes complaints and alligations against him. His criminal past deals with a sexual charge, in which at the time he was about 19 years old, his girlfriend was about 16, the parents didn't like him and pressed charges, he was scared and took a plea bargain. He served his time of a few years, and was released. He is not on Megans Law or any law of that sort. But his ex keeps using his past in every court case that they have. What do we do?

She's blackmailing him!! He needs to get a better lawyer and take her to court!! He may even need to get some information about his past and take it to court with him! She's going to continue to throw that in his face to keep him from using his parental rights!! She has the court and the judge thinking that he may molest the child or he's an unfit parent and he has to do whatever it takes to prove her wrong!! A good lawyer can help him do this as well as make it where his ex wife can no longer get those documents brought into court!

The very best thing to do is get an old Jewish lawyer they r the very best. Sorry to stereotype, but it's a fact, a good Jewish lawyer will earn his money and have this nipped in the bud. The ex-wife will have to cut out all that business because of his time served and society's satisfactory repayment of the judicial system.

Get agood lawyer! That ex of his knows she can get away wit using his past against him. If he served his time and has no other felonies I see know reason why he can not see his own children. There has to be some one out there to help you guys. I don't know the legal term for what she is doing to him but I do know that it's wrong. I think she is bitter and is only using the kids as leverage. Why people so that to one another is beyond me. good luck:)
