come on here and ask questions that they could have found the answer to in 2 seconds by using Google?

I mean the simple questions or ones that require advice from a doctor? Like the ones that say could I be pregnant? Why wouldnt you go to a doctor or just take a home pregnancy test?

There are a few possible reasons I think:
1) They're bad with computers.
2) They're hoping that someone who knows something about the subject will guide them to the most reliable information - not all web pages are reliable. Then again of course, not all people are, either...
3) You can get a variety of opinions and answers on the subject really easily, which can be both infomative and entertaining.
4) There's a personal element to it that makes it more fun than just typing your question into Google.

I ask to see what people actually think. I know the answers to the questions I ask, but I just want to get some other opinions. I ask questions about culture anyway and sometimes you don't find answers on the internet for those.

Getting advices at Google may seem not as with real people as on YA.
Getting advices from living consultants may cost money.
Let us use this place as free forum to get real questions and real answers from real people. Moreoever, I have met up here many interesting friends.

Asking a question here is more fun and interesting than using a search engine because you get human interaction.

They want a perspective from the people...I'd rather ask here first & have folks direct me to great information they've already found.

I dunno, maybe some ppl are really just that bad with computers! Or like the other girl said maybe they just want attention. I'm pretty tired of all the " I had unprotected sex and my periods late, could I be pregnant?" questions tho!
