Arizona is perfect in the spring time. You'll love it.

Here is my ideal trip from Phoenix.

Day One -- go north about a two hour drive to Sedona Arizona. It is the most beautifyul place in the world. The Red Rocks are astonishing. Be sure to search out Enchantment resort and at least have lunch or a sandwich there. It sets back in the Red Rocks of Boynton Canyon and has spectacular views. Eat dinner of a great steak at the Cowboy Club in Sedona. The Pink Jeep tour is fun too.

Day Two -- the south rim of the Grand Canyon is a good five hour trip north of Phoenix. If you've never seen the GC you must see it. If there is some way you can weave around the trip to Sedona, that really breaks up the trip a bunch. That way you can go to Sedona one day and then go on up to the GC the next.

Day Three -- now go south to Tucson and Nogales, Mexico. This is a completely different experience than Sedona. The cactus are amazingly high. Nogales is a real trip. There is alot to do in Tucson too -- from gambling, to siteseeing at Old Phoenix where several movies have been shot.

Day Four -- explore Phoneix. I am not as big of a fan of Phoenix -- since it is like a big town in a desert. There are great restaurants and shopping in Phoenix. There are sports too -- with spring training baseball all around Phoenix in the spring.

There are some fabulous hotels/resorts in phoenix and I like to explore those and the amenities they offer -- such as the pool and the spa and exercise rooms. Just relaxing by the pool is very cool to do when you know it is cold "back home".

I'm envious. My wife and I love Arizona.

Good luck with your trip.

Hope this was helpful.

Only 4 days to sight-see?
Well, no trip to Arizona would be complete without the Grand Canyon. The South Rim is about 4-5 hours from Phoenix & well worth the trip.
Sedona also makes a nice day trip. It's 2-3 hours from Phoenix & has breathtaking scenery.

How could you not see the Grand Canyon? Drive the 3 hours north to the small, quaint town of Williams, just west of Flagstaff, and take the railway 2 hours to the south rim and get ready to be astounded.
Otherwise, you could drive 2 hours to Sedona and see the red rocks or up to Payson into the mountains. Or relax and play golf locally at any of the beautiful golf courses.

Sedona for red rocks and beautiful scenery. About 2 hours from PHX. Easy drive. Grand Canyon....worth the trip. About 4 hours from PHX. Shopping @ Kierland Commons & Fashion Square Mall in Scottsdale. About 30 minutes from the airport. Overall beautiful scenery....wherever you are in AZ. A quick trip to Palm Springs is 3.5 hours to drive and has fantastic high end outlet mall. L.A. and Las Vegas are both 5 hours. Have fun.
