Here is what AOL has:
Internet, IM, AOL e-mail and some "paid" AOL services.

Here is what Yahoo has:
Internet, Yahoo Messanger, e-mail
... and all of these FREE services

Information
Downloads, Finance, Health, Local, Maps & Directions,
My Yahoo!, News, Search, Small Business, Weather

Shopping
Auctions, Autos, Classifieds, Flowers & Gifts, Points, Real Estate, Shopping, Travel, Wallet, Yellow Pages

Entertainment
Fantasy Sports, Games, Kids, Music, Movies, Photos, Radio, Travel, TV

Communication
360°, Alerts, Avatars, Groups, Internet Access, Mail, Member Directory, Messenger, Mobile, Personals

And hundeds of other things, all free.
(Yes, AOL also shows advertising on the sections that you PAY for)

I would say that Yahoo is BETTER.

Good luck

For Internet Service, for E-Mail, for IM, or for.. some thing else.

AOL sucks for E-Mail & IM,.. ir's only good for some people as an Internet Provider.

The E-Mail Blocks nearly all E-Mail and I hear some times E-Mails just vanish.

The Instant Message service has changed companies too much,.. I don't know how else to explain that... they are connected to AOL on and off and AIM & AOL can conflict with each other,.. or when the companies connected to AIM change even a little... then your software and account gets messed up @_@ But I've been useing it on and off since it was new,....... YAHOO IS THE BEST INSTANT MESSAGE service that currently exsist, is wide spread, and free.

In order to use Yahoo services, you must be connected to an ISP being AOL or any other one. However, I would not use AOL even if it was the only ISP left in the world.

Yahoo. As near as I can tell, AOL charges really high prices for really bad service.

i can't stand AOL. contained in the undesirable old days their browser component became integrated into the bundled software in my pc and that i'd spend days eliminating it from each and every distant nook of my hardrive. decrease back then it might in basic terms reflect itself in each and every single place and run contained in the heritage and devour up digital reminiscence and RAM like loopy. God I hated AOL. even as they finally stopped bundling it up, i became so relieved. Yahoo is an internet site, AOL is so integrated it really is a discomfort contained in the butt. So YAHOO wins.
