My freind has gained 80 pounds since march....and her periods stopped she's also trying to get pregnant...i tried telling her that her periods have stopped because of the weight gain what do you think?

Her periods can definitly be altered becuase of the weight gain. I know plenty of people who lost lots of weight (60+ pounds) and got pregnant on their own after YEARS of infertility! (Clearly the opposite of your question, but you get the idea ;)

UM have you ever considered that your friend might need a simple blood test. IF she is havign a hard time getting pregnant, and gained 80 pounds in a matter of months, she may just have a problem like ....oh i dont know.... HYPOTHYROID.... Your thyroid is basically your battery.... if it goes, the you start to shut down. fertility is a problem, your metabolism shuts down, you get depressed, insomnia, exhaustion. posibly irregular period. check it out on the web, and find out if she is comparible to te symptoms of hypothyroid, THEN have her go get tested.
i dont think her weight gain and period are related..... if she is stressed, her period would be irregular, and she can gain weight , btu i have never heard of anirregular period because of weight gain!

I think she has other issues if she has gained that much weight in that short time. I think she should see a doctor.

she should definately see a dr, she could have a serious problem. try to get her see a dr.
