Software: Firefox, JetAudio, WinRar, OpenOffice, AVG Free Antivirus, Zone Alarm, Daemon Tools, at least one version of Unreal Tournament, Starcraft, Adobe Photoshop CS2, Adobe/Macromedia Dreamweaver, Adobe Audition, uTorrent........
Files: lots of music ( Jamaican Dancehall & Reggae mostly), tons of wallpapers (cars, girls, CGI & real scenery), e-books, photographs.

I prefer my laptop:
- portable, battery option
- wireless home internet
- Wide area LAN internet for travel (Verizon suits me)
- Modem for emergencies
- USB for whatever extra I want to attach, such as external storage
- Max memory, CPU, max disk spindle speed (rpm) for the largest capacity (GB)
WHy computer at th desk when I can do it in the eacy chair, backyard, by the pool or in front of the TV?...or the office, if I must

are there things u find particularly useful or fun?
I've got 'Thumb' drives on USB ports for 'Swap=files' WCgrid.org work, removable storage [ in liew of disketes or eMail storage] , photos,movies,programs,,,etc, and w/ USB and win-XP it goes on my laptop too. Best price that I've seen att is $49 for 2 GIG of nano-ram - beats Milisec. Disk drives ! lol

definitely gotta have photoshop and some 3d rendering programs. lots of music, pics, videos, games and just whatever programs i find fun at the moment. dvd copying software, things like that. all those are installed on my 250gb external maxtor drive :)
