My hubby wants to get one for our 3yr old girl. What is it and is it a video game or portable DVD? He wants it for long car trip during the holidays. Is this thing appropiate? I secretly think he wants it so she will stop playing his 360.

Games On The PSP Isn't Really For Everyone, Being Full Of Action And Quite Complicated..
I'm Not Sure What A 3 Year Old, A Girl Expecially, Will Want With A PSP.. He's Probably Joking And/Or Wants A PSP Of His Own.. or the 360 problem..
She Might Like The Movie Capability, Using The UMD (universal media disk) Format To Play Things From Spongebob To The Latest DVD Releases.. speaking of which, DVD's Do Not Play On The PSP, however, Downloaded Movies Can Be Played On The PSP (currently, mp4 files are supported only)..
I Would Go On And Tell You What The PSP Does, Like Internet Access, But I Think That It's Just Not For Her.. And The Kinda Big And Shiny PSP May Break, Being Kinda Crammed In With Features And Wouldn't Last A Drop On Concrete With It's Glossy Finish (it might surive on carpet drops, i think)..
Even Though I'm With Sony A Bit, I Highly Suggest A Nintendo DS.. (2)
It Does Not Play Movies Or Music (yet), But It Does Have Great Games For Your Child Using The Innovative Seccond Touch Screen.. Games Like Nintendogs, Which Let You Take Care Of, Feed, Walk, etc Your Dog On The Go..

Sony PSP or Playstation Portable is basically a portable movie player and video game console in one small handheld device. you can buy game discs and each game is differently rated. To watch movies, you need to buy separate UMDs (Universal Media Devices) to watch in the PSP. Personally, I think it's worth it. My little brother no longer uses my PS2 anymore.

ok ur 3 year old does not need a PSP. But it is very good and it is liek a game boy

yes, but dont get it for her, she mite break it, get a portable dvd player and she mite drop it, and for the 360 put it up on a shelf and close the little glass doors,

its less expensive and the games are better for younger kids
