yes somtimes it is normal and ok to get these types of contractions they are called braxton hicks [false contractions] wich some people do get but you should call ur doctor and let them no try lying on ur right side or the opposite side of them and if they do not go away then go to the er it like the streching of your uterouse or from stress as long as u have no bloody discharge or loss of fluid i know this because i have had 7 children and went through this type of braxton hix contraction before with all my pregnancies but hope u feel better and hope this helps

RE:
Is it normal to have contractions at 22 weeks?
I've been having contractions for the past 2 weeks...they come about every 30 mins to an hour and last for like a min is that alright?

Im 18 weeks with my 4th baby and I am having braxton hicks contractions already. The average time a woman starts to get these types of contractions is around 12 weeks, but they usually dont feel them until much later. If you are really concerned then you can just ask your doctor about it and they can check you.

i would call your Dr its not normal to have contractions at 22 weeks. but it sounds more like braxton hixks which is normal. if u were in labour they would be getting more frequent and painful.
i wouldnt worry to much just try and relax but make sure u tell your Dr about so he or she can look after you properly, its good to tell your Dr every little cncern u have.
but to me sounds more like braxton hicks.
good luck and congrats on your baby....
i am 38 weeks and have been getting BH for a while now they last for about 1 -2 min at a time for about 1 hour a day lately. i find getting rest works well for me...

yeah, those are probably braxton-hicks. they are normal, just another way your body is preparing for the baby. you should tell your doc you are having them, just to let him/her know, but other than that, you shouldn't worry too much.

It's not normal. Call your doctor right now. It could just be braxton hicks also.

go to the dr, you might be in preterm labor!
I had it with all three pregnancies and had full term babies. Go get it checked.
