He's not too old. He's so far directed 11 films: "The Producers", "The Twelve Chairs", "Young Frankenstein", "Blazing Saddles", "Silent Movie", "High Anxiety", "History of the World, Part I", "Spaceballs", "Life Stinks", "Robin Hood: Men in Tights", and "Dracula: Dead and Loving It".

I, for one, would love to see one more Brooks film before he leaves this world forever. Will it ever happen?

Although it dosn't look like he is directing any movies any time soon, he does have a writing project in the works for a movie version of Get Smart. He is also rumored to be working on another broadway musical, this time of Young Frankenstein.

i'm a vast Mel Brooks fan and regardless of the undeniable fact that Blazing Saddles is a comedic masterpiece, in my opinion his funniest action picture is spaceballs. its humorous whenever you watch it and its a clever parody of the area video clips/shows. he hits many distinctive characters and brings all of them mutually top... additionally good are history of the international, youthful frankenstein, to be or to no longer be, silent action picture, robin hood adult males in tights, the unique manufacturers, severe stress, the 12 chairs, and dracula lifeless and loving it (enjoyed leslie neilson mixed with mel brooks)
