How do you increase the catch rate in any pokemon game,if you can.?

You use better pokeballs, like ultra balls, etc.
Also use a lower level pokemon or about the same level pokemon as the pokemon as you're currently catching, so you don't kill it.
Another way is to use Poison attacks on it and poison it, so you can catch the pokemon when it's in a weak state and when it's HP is low.
Also use Sleep on the Pokemon. It works a whole lot better and it's a higher catch rate if you use sleep on the Pokemon.

i'd say higher level pokemons and attacks that cause conditions (i. e. sleep, poison, etc.). some say u have to hold B before the ball hit the pokemon
