Interesting question!
"why" has two meanings: 1. for what reason? 2. for what purpose?

We assume that every event or state has a reason or purpose. When two events happen one after the other, we try to connect the two, assuming that one is the reason for the other. Sometimes our assumptions are right, but sometimes wrong.

first of all, it's human nature...you just proved it yourself by asking this question. there is always a reason or purpose for everything even though sometimes it may be hard to know what that is. as human beings we have minds that grow and develop by learning...and how do we learn? by asking the question "why?" i everyone has asked that question in their lifetime.

Because. As Einstein said, "Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler." To answer the question 'why" has beeh a philosophical debate for quite some time. You need to provide more details as to what you wish to wish to ask. Why what?

I sit and wonder why.
Why is the grass is green?
Why is the sky is blue?
Why is a rose is red?
But I I wonder about real life most.
Why are babies having babies?
Why are kids killing kids?
Why is black and white so different?
I ask just one little word, yet get no answer...
Why??

in my sense, why is one of those questions you can ask if you have nothing better to ask. Or a why question is a question to ask when you don't quite understand why something does something.
