Because we expect the same rain tonight and the had to decide if they could get that game in rain till Saturday here, really messes up Fox's TV schedule and they want it if goes that far to end over the week-end ratings you know

They try really hard to get every game in when they can. Evidently, the weather forecast showed there would be a break in the rain, but it never occurred. So, what!! They'll eventually get the games in.

They wanted to see if the game could still be played. The committee would be very reluctant to cancel a game because that'll push back the world series. That's what happened.

the rain was to stop at that 9:15 but it did not its missouir the weather is never right

This whole postseason has had a lot of rain outs. But they wanted to get it in, it was the World Series. Its not as easy to reschedule it.

They did wait awfully long. But it is the World Series, so they will go to any lengths they can to get the games in if at all possible.
