I have been trying to send e-mails, but, nobody seems to be responding. What is up with this? How am I supposed to know if they are getting them or not?

Reminds me of a Bill Cosby routine years ago where he said his parents always moved while he was in school, implying they were trying to get away from him.

Some e-mail systems have a Receipt Requested which asks recipient to click and send you a message more or less automatically to show they got it. They can choose not to send that acknowledgement, though.

Some email clients (outlook, eudora) have a function where by you can opt to be alerted when the email is actually opened. Outlooks will ask if they want this alert to be sent (as mentioned above), but Eudora's used to be (it may have changed since I last used it) sent back to you without them even knowing.

Also, try not to be too generic with you "subject", as it may even be getting picked up via their junk filter, so they won't even realise you are trying to contact them
