I just posted a question about being pregnant and it made me think of something else. I heard from a mother that she felt like she was going to get her period for months until she found out that she was pregnant. Has anyone else gone through that? How careful should you be if you are pregnant? I mean around your stomach..what precautions should you take so you dont hurt the baby early.

you have to be careful, but not over board...remember that a baby is nestled inside of your womb around your fat and organs in a sac of water...a mother can still have fun while they are preggy.
Yes, you do get cramping....that is a uterus streatching to fit the baby

I feel kind of like I'm having my period...the cramps are more like pressure. I'm 5 weeks pregnant...and I do have a little (very little) amount of spotting (tan no red)...but this nurse I talked to said this was normal (the spotting anyway) I spotted a lot more last week. I really thought I wasn't pregnant because the month before I spotted for a week and then had my period. My body has been really screwed up since going off the pill. But I'm pregnant now :)

I found out I was pregnant at 5 weeks, because I was having the worst back pain..(now i'm having unbearable back pain @ 35 wks pg.) And I felt like I was going to start my period for a long time after that..But if you are pregnant, and you're further along and you feel like period cramps then you should be worried, because I went into preterm labor and didn't even know it..it just felt like cramps..but I was having contractions and stuff!

the symptoms are very similar and some women don't know that they are pregnant because they still get their periods!! If you think that you may be pregnant, u should go to see your doctor, take your prenatal vitamins, avoid fumes and toxics, avoid caffeine and strenuous exercise, and start to do things that will not harm the baby!! Your doctor should give you information about being pregnant!

Anything that hurts you, hurts that baby. Fumes, pressure, heat, etc... be very careful.
