my friend has problems in school. he needs good grades to get on the basketball team. we are in the 7th grade. he need ways to study for quizzes and tests.

Some kids just havent developed good study skills- too much noise, etc. I would suggest that maybe you help him- Have him read over the material by himself wherever he is the most comfortable and maybe you can ask him questions regarding the material he read. If he hasn't grasped anything that he read, he should ask his teacher about an after school tutor- my daughter tutored students in Latin and sometimes help from another colleague is easier than with an adult. Good luck- I hope he makes the team.

It depends on what kind of learner he is for example if he learns best by seeing or doing then you may want him to eight er write down whatever he studying or even make flash cards but if he learns best by hearing then maybe have a study group and read aloud what your studying. study with someone, find a partner, or study with a group, or get a tutor, depend on how ur friend want study , some people prefer to study alone or with music, or any environment that they feel comfortable with, then they can study better and get good grade...... !!!!!!! ^_^

group studies or review, or this is a simple tip..after school hours, give enough time to study or review, 30 minutes will be ok, and you still have time to extra curricular activities. time management is needed.

your scool probabl ha a peer tutoring program... look into that. there are probably after shool programs also.
