I'm 5 weeks pregnant. I spotted all last week.....brown...no red or pink...just brown...and not much...but enough to make me think I was going to get my period. Then it didn't come. So I tested and got a positive. Then I had a blood test to confirm. The nurse said that spotting happens to some woman. She said that if something had been wrong with the baby or if there had been a problem that the blood test would not have shown I was pregnant. So I'm pregnant....and I'm still spotting a little. Smaller than last week. How long does it last? It drives me crazy. It is such a small amount and only faintly colored tan....could it just be drainage? I see the OB for the first time tomorrow. I'm just really anxious.

Well, if you already went to a doctor and he said it was fine then you are probably fine. Some women do spot during the early pregnancy, I've never heard of spotting during advanced pregnancy but it might be possible. Don't freak out, if you were having an abortion believe me you'd know. Relax and XOXO.

that's amazingly uncommon for a lady to bleed for the era of her being pregnant as bleeding is oftentimes an illustration of a few thing being incorrect. also when you're having your widespread classes then that signifies that the uterus is laying off that's lining on a established foundation and that's what the baby connected to and no matter if that's shed then so is the baby (except for ectopic pregnancies). There are occassional situations the position some women people have had their classes for a month or so even after falling pregnant yet like I stated that's fairly uncommon. those women people might want to probable in hardship-free words discover out later than widespread that they are pregnant.

it's most likely fine, but if it lasts, persist with your doctor (ask for an ultrasound to confirm everything is okay). At 15 weeks pregnancy of my first born, I had spotting (very lite spotting only lasted a couple hours)...went to the doctor, they sent me for an ultrasound just in case (everything seemed to be okay but the dr. just wanted to make sure)...turned out I had an incompetant cervix...which could've made me miscarry him. I ended up having him two months premature tho.
as the first answer said it can also be caused by the placenta being on the cervix (placenta previa).
Good luck & congrats on the pregnancy!

Sometimes it can happen if the placenta is on your cervix. Good luck at the doctor tomorrow.
