That is the intrugues of the program and gambling in general, isn;t it?
From one view...
They have walked in with nothing and would be no worse off to leave with $0.50.
I agree that some people stretch the odds when they pass up $250,000 on a 1 in 4 change of winning $1,000,000 . But that is their choice and risk.
You sound like they have actually donated $40,000 or a car to the game. I hope you understand that the banker offer is just a bribe by the show to walk away rather than continue.

i've seen tons of people say "Deal"...but you are right...they do wait until the last minute to make up their minds....and even then a lot of them lose more money than what thye could have gotten

well it kinda keeps you on the edge of your seat cuz u never know what they will do if its like 48,000 and then they say no, you dont know if it will be 50cents or not so yea....i like it lol (but if i were on the show..i wouldnt!!!)
