That's perfectly fine, you could be a splendid writer with enough practice and talent. But it would best be to your advantage to read as many different books as you can. It will give you in depth knowledge you need to create your own writing style and be a better writer. Try reading what you like most but give other books a chance once in a while. I have the same problem. Just remember; hard and work fierce determination can get you to any position you aim for. I'm trying to accomplish the same thing so don't fret it just takes time and lots of perseverance.

Writers like words. Sounds like you enjoy graphic novels & comic bks. Maybe you want to be a comic book writer or a graphic artist. If it turns out that you don't have the talent to produce this work, but you love it, why not get a job selling it? You'd probably be a natural at it for you will know all about it most likely. Good luck.

Anybody can be a writer. The more you write, the better you will become. If you enjoy comics, then I would study up on your favorite comic books to see what makes those books successful. From there, you can start creating your own stories and characters. You might find that you will enjoy reading more as well. Good luck!

Writers write because that's who they are and what they have to do to be fulfilled. So yes, if that's something you feel a need to do, then do it.

Being a published writer is another matter. You need to at least read the type of books you want to write. If comics interest you, write that. If you can't even stand to read fiction, then writing it isn't going to work well. It's much harder to write fiction than to read it. It takes a lot of time and effort and studying the craft and editing and rewriting....

It comes down to ... "Why do you want to write?"

If you're thinking you'll make a bunch of money doing it, find a different job, because that almost never happens. If you want to do cartoons, you'll have to learn art or have a partner. Write if you want to write, but published writing is a long, hard journey.

Don't want "to be a writer"! Have something you want to write about, and write it!
