Let all peoples who have been maltreated by others remember and speak out. George Santayana, the great 20th century philosopher and poet, said, "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it." That is why we must all remember the injustices of history - - - - all of them. It was also Santayana who said, "Fanaticism consists in redoubling your effort when you have forgotten your aim."

Well, the issue is that this is a massive, sudden genocide which is still alive in the memories of many people still living today. Also, it's alot closer to home for most people who either lost relatives, ancestors, or friends in the Holocaust. The other events you mention, while terrible, are more remote. Not all those that died during the holocaust were Jews...slavic people, gypsies, and homosexuals were also executed, making the aftermath of this event even more far spreading. Most native americans also survived, though some tribes died out. Also, terrible events from the past (such as slavery) are still being "milked" today, as you put it. The holocaust is not an isolated case.

The reason Yahoo deleted it 'last time' is the same reason they should have deleted it this time: You aren't asking a question ... you are editorializing. By the way, this editorial is basically horse manure.
Experience has taught me to always beware of people who make statements such as 'I have a lot of Jews/Blacks/Italians/Indians, etc as friends'. Where I come from, those folks are called bigots.
PS - We would at least give you 3 points if you used correct punctuation and spelling and placed capital letters in correct places. Good Lord, you don't even present a cohesive argument. I've seen less jumping around at a pogo stick contest.

I really believe with what the Jews went through; that is one episode in life that NO ONE should EVER forget!! It was a disgrace what the Nazis did to them! All through history, there have been many many tragedies of war, conflicts, etc. ALL history deserves some recognition. And, yes, we are to blame many times, also; for taking the Indian's land, slaughtering innocent people. No one should EVER forget any point in history. It should ALL be remembered and recognized; no matter where it took place.

What was done to all these peoples were wrong. I don't think jews are cry babies any more than I think native americans are lucky to get to have casinos and bingo parlours. Personally I think the past is the past but each victim race should decide for themselves how they handle things.
